In addition to filmmaking, photography is another great passion of mine. Over the past few years, I have traveled several times to the Middle East, seeking to capture the untold stories of local communities beyond the usual tourist paths. My journeys have taken me to places such as Iran, Iraqi Kurdistan, Turkey, and Lebanon. Below, you will find a selection of my work, showcasing both analog and digital photography.
LEBANON
In the winter of 2024, I visited Beirut. These images capture the neighborhood affected by the explosion, a once-thriving area now marked by its shattered past.
TURKEY
In 2023, I traveled to the Kurdish region of Turkey with my dear friend Lia to locate the grave of her late husband. Throughout the journey, I captured the moments we experienced, sharing portraits of the people we met along the way.
TURKEY
In the winter of 2023, I spent a week with Hasan and Seher in a mountain village, documenting their traditional way of life, which is slowly fading away.
TURKEY
In the summer of 2023, I journeyed from Istanbul along the Black Sea coast to Georgia and back. This photo series is a tribute to the people who call this unique region home.
